The Discovery™ Protein Gel Electrophoresis Series

Our Discovery™ series protein units have been used and tested by laboratory researchers worldwide for 20 years. We work closely with research scientists to develop designs that are practical, cost-efficient, and long-lasting. Like all of our other units, our quality control department inspects each unit by hand before it is shipped. All of our protein units are designed for high performance and maximum safety.

To run, clip the polymerized gel sandwich to our main structural frame. This creates an enclosed upper buffer chamber with its electrodes and anchors the gel onto the same sturdy frame. Set this unit into the lower buffer box, load the samples, connect the leads and apply power. Typical run time for 12-17% gradient gels on Model 61100 is 1.5 hours at 10 watts power input.

Complete unit includes: One electrophoresis unit, power supply leads, one glass plate set (1 notched and 1 square with PVC side spacers attached), 1 Teflon© 16 well comb, 1 tube seal (for .75 mm or 1.5 mm thick slabs), bottom spacer, 2 clips and instructions.
