Assemble and operate the adjustable unit by placing your cast gel plate sandwich flat on a bench top, clamp it to one face of the upper buffer chamber so that the notched or smaller glass plate is facing the chamber. Next, clamp the back plate or a second gel sandwich to the other side of the top chamber. Then set the assembly vertically into the lower buffer tray. Fill the top and bottom chambers with running buffer, load your samples on the gel, hook up the leads and apply the current.

When the run is completed, simply lift the upper gel/buffer assembly from the lower tray. Cleanup is quick and easy: just dispose of radioactive waste from the portable lower box.

Complete unit includes: Upper box with 2 gaskets (either flat or tube gasket), and 1 electrode, lower box with 1 electrode, 4 Teflon© spacers (.4mm thick x 1 (cm) wide x 60 (cm) long), 2 Teflon© combs (.4mm/20 wells), and one set of power supply leads.
